Have you heard of the Korean Skincare Routine\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

10 – Steps to perfect complexion?<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is a multi-step process which has sparked a lot of interest within the beauty world. The golden rule is, if you\u2019re going to spend 30 minutes applying make up on your face, then you should spend equal amount of time cleansing it off!<\/p>\n

\"ren-eye-makeup-remover1-667x667\"<\/a>Step 1: The Eye Makeup Removal<\/strong>
\nRemove your eye makeup with a cleanser specially for the eyes (I like\u00a0Ren’s Express makeup remover<\/a>\u00a0-a silky milk formula that contains flower water for gentle but thorough cleansing including waterproof mascara). It is important not to pull or drag the skin around your eyes.<\/p>\n

Step 2: The Cleanse<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"image\"<\/a><\/strong> This is want we now call a ‘double cleanse’. First step is a\u00a0pre-cleanse. Start by removing all make up using\u00a0an oil cleanser (try\u00a0Caudalie’s oil cleanser<\/a>\u00a0which contains almond oil) use\u00a0gentle, circular motions with your fingers to massage and clean off that foundation or\u00a0BB cream.\u00a0Koreans firmly maintain that massaging the face increases circulation, which equals brighter skin. (We think so too- see my Face Yoga posts).\u00a0 This is followed up\u00a0with a further cleanse using a cream\/foam\/gel cleanser.<\/p>\n

Step 3: The Exfoliator<\/strong>
\nExfoliating with a natural scrub like\u00a0suki’s exfoliate foaming cleanser<\/a>\u00a0to restore your skins glow. Twice a month is plenty, and\u00a0concentrate on the t-zone. When it comes to facial exfoliation, Korean women often believe less is more.<\/em><\/p>\n

Step 4: The Refresher (we call this\u00a0Toner)<\/strong>
\nToning is an essential step. It’s believed to help remove pollutants along with any residue from your cleansers, while also restoring your skin\u2019s pH balance<\/em>. It soothes and preps your skin to absorb the next step\u2014(the essence). For a toner with more interesting ingredients try\u00a0Aloree Cleansing Water<\/a>\u00a0which contains chlorophyll and Barley shoots extracts or\u00a0suki toners <\/a>which are\u00a0highly concentrated botanical tinctures. Dispense the toner onto a cotton pad and wipe your face and neck\u2014and don\u2019t be surprised at the residue left on the pad.<\/p>\n

\"suki<\/a>Step 5: The Essence<\/strong>
\nConsidered the most important step to Korean women. Apply\u00a0Suki’s Radical Youth Serum<\/a>\u00a0a multi-vitamin complex or try\u00a0a shot of hyaluronic acid using\u00a0Ren’s Instant Firming Beauty Shot<\/a>\u00a0for\u00a0a skin plumping boost. Step 6: The Ampoule (or in our case Serum)<\/strong>
