Rio Trading's mission is  to bring some of the wonderful natural healing plants from South America to the attention of Europe and the rest of the world. It was the first company to import herbs such as Guarana, Pau d'Arco (Lapacho), and Suma (Pfaffia) to the UK.

From the beginning the company has had high ideals about operating a fair trade policy, using natural ingredients and minimising the use of any additives. They always try and negotiate a fair trade price with their growers and make sure the products come from sustainable sources. They pride themselves  on using only pure herbal material in their Rio Amazon range, avoiding preservatives, colouring and fillers whenever possible.
